My daughter loved this, found it challenging and fun. Her cousin loved it, too. free games online I grew up playing Pacman, so when I found out they had a 20th anniversary edition, I had to get it. Not only does it have the original game which I like, it has a little "Super Marioesque" quest that Pacman follows to save his Pac-family. It also has different 3D pacman boards which are also fun to play. Fun for the kids. |

I loved this game collection, and there are twelve in all. This has a great joystick, though it made my hand tired. The games are all awesome, and fun. It's great for parties and for kids. I do have one complaint, though. It's very close to the logic of Pacman, but it has different logic than the arcade version of Pacman. In the arcade, the orange ghost follows random patterns that are close to you but isn't chasing you directly, but in this version, the orange ghost chases you directly. It does visually resemble Pacman exactly, but the ghost's logic is off. If you're just playing for fun or getting this for your grandkids, nobody will notice. But if you're trying to beat some world records on Pacman, then this product will probably throw your game off. Easily plugs in to any tv (tube or flat screen), is very portable, has the original arcade version of a bunch of games and the joystick control is easy to use and durable. The box is full of color and the images from gameplay displayed on the box are colored too...which would make you think that the thing has colors too....well, it is black and white, all the games that are included are black and white too. Intentionally mis-advertised and a total disappointment. Please don't buy unless you want a black and white, cheap plastic box. |

I bought this product two weeks ago. The package came brand new in original packaging. The device itself is strongly built. Joystick and buttons are firm and responsive. It seems as though it's going to be able to take a lot of punishment. The video looks great on LCD TV. Images are clean and movement on screen is fluid. I read that there were lag issues in earlier reviews, however, I can say that I experienced no noticeable lag issues when playing. The sound is what you expect. All familiar tones. There are no surprises with the gameplay. You won't be getting anything new here. The game is still fun. Love competing for the high score. The game saves high scores. Overall I'm pleased with the purchase and am having lots of fun with it. This is a really fun game and I am so glad to have found it! Thanks a lot. However, a short account about the game might be helpful. While playing PacMan, you play as PacMan. You might wonder, what is PacMan? play pacman After more than 20 years, the consensus is that he is a type of supernatural cheese man addicted to yellow M&Ms, fearful of colors other than blue who is trapped, for whatever reasons, in a maze with rainbow-colored ghosts. You must navigate the maze while you consume little dots, run from ghosts and eat big dots that turn ghosts blue and make them edible. Once in a while you will be treated to bonus points that are in the shape of candies or fruits. Once all the dots have been eaten, a new stage will begin. This game can take even the best players days to beat. Whether due to the limitations of the hardware, programming, or the developer's decisions, most ports of the Pac-Man arcade game follow the same basic game-play features of the original, though there can be slight differences. Although this version's differences aren't quite as noticeable as those of other versions, they are there. There were two big complaints I had against this one. The first indicator shows the speed that PacMan moves at. Although the game still plays correctly, I was thrown off by the change in the tempo from the arcade game. The problem of the AI on the ghost was the second, as it did not work as it should have. On more than one occasion I saw them simply bumping against walls for several moments instead of pursuing me. They got back to it fairly quickly when they figured out what they were supposed to do but this little glitch really bugged me. PacMan has never been one of my favorite games, however it can be entertaining to play for a short amount of time and more so when it's free. Fond memories of feeding the arcade machines with quarters down by the beach is revived whilst playing the PacMan games. Nowadays, arcades are nearly extinct. Final Analysis In the end, the port we've been discussing runs a pretty close second to the original. This will allow you to experience PacMan without spending money since it's as near the arcade version as you'll find. It's nothing outstanding, but it fills a niche. |

The name of the game actually reflected this motif. In Japan, the saying "puck puck," would be the American equivalent of saying "munch munch." To discourage vandals from shaving off part of the P to create an obscene word, a savvy Midway Games official changed it to Pac-Man when the game hit the USA. is a great game for Playstation and Playstation 2 owners. You get 3 modes of play including the original Pac-man game, as well as a 3-D adventure mode, and a 3-D over the top Dot munching game. All 3 are very fun to play, which makes this game a very good value.Recommended for those looking for a cheap, fun game, for their PSone or PS2. kids games online This is one of the best games I have played in a while. I will admit that I am not into all of those massive role playing games, Like Syphon Filter and Metal Gear, but this is a throw back to the days of Super Mario Brothers and Sonic. And that's just the adventure part of the game. you also get the old classic arcade style pac-man, and an all new 3-d pac-man game played very much like the old arcade game, but with much better graphics(obviously). Okay, so the machine was made in 2001, but it still held the true originals. Ms. Pac-Man is that really popular maze game in which you play as the miss in action. Run around eating all the dots, avoiding the ghosts, you know the drill! Since the stand-up version of this machine is pretty much everywhere I've been to, chances are that the machine lets you play as a Ms. Pac-Man that runs as fast as Sonic the Hedgehog! If not, then there should probably be a way how you can change that inside the machine itself. Galaga is like Space Invaders, but with several improvements. The enemies do stunts in space while moving down towards you, the "boss" aliens can steal your ship, there are bonus levels, and you can even steal your ship BACK, allowing you to shoot DOUBLE the amount of firepower! Overall, if you are an arcade owner, or just some person who wants an arcade machine in your room, this is for you. play pacman I boughted for my 4 year old but because I thought it was going to be easy for him som of the games were I think Im going to wait a few more years so he can enjoy it. kids games online This product is such a great toy for the cost!! Overall I'm pleased with the purchase and am having lots of fun with it. This is a wonderful plug and play by jakks that i purchased from Amazon. It has 10 different games total including Galaga and maybe 3 or 4 different varities of Pac Man. Amazon has an option to buy items new or used;I chose to purchase a new item. After playing the game, there were other high scores with initials saved in the plug n play that leaves me to wonder if the purchase i made was in fact Used instead of New. kids games online this is nice and compact with alot of games....this looks better on tube type TVs...on the new LCD and Plasma the video quality seems poor....this is a really fun thing to bring along at partys |

In the video game Pac-Man, you play as the main characters, whose name happens to be Pac-Man. You may wonder what PacMan is. pacman After more than 20 years, the consensus is that he is a type of supernatural cheese man addicted to yellow M&Ms, fearful of colors other than blue who is trapped, for whatever reasons, in a maze with rainbow-colored ghosts. The goal is to race through the maze eating the dots all the while avoiding the ghosts and focusing on eating big dots which turn the ghosts blue and make them edible. Each level will sporadically show a piece of fruit or candy that is worth bonus points when eaten. After all the dots are cleared off, you get a new board. The game is featured here from start to finish, and a player's skill level can determine how long a game can take. Most PacMan arcade game ports feature the same basic structure, but there are often slight differences from the original because of hardware limitations, programming issues or decisions by the developer. The dissimilarities are hard to pinpoint in this version versus earlier ones, but they are indeed there. This version had two flaws in my opinion. The first is the speed of PacMan's movements. Although the game still plays correctly, I was thrown off by the change in the tempo from the arcade game. The initial AI for the ghosts wasn't up to snuff, either. On more than one occasion I saw them simply bumping against walls for several moments instead of pursuing me. When I played PacMan again, I remembered how I would go to the beach and stand in the arcade for hours. It's not too easy finding an arcade these days. Game Verdict This port, in essence, isn't that dissimilar from the original version. This is about as close to the arcade version of the Pac-Man experience you are going to get, unless you would like to part with your hard earned quarters. It's nothing outstanding, but it fills a niche. |

My 5 year old & I LOVE this game! So fun!!! It's a bit long, but totally entertaining!! I just cannot figure out how to play the old fashioned pac man game on it. All I get is a "GAME OVER' message on my screen?!! Put I got it for a great price & we LOVE it! pac man online I bought this game because I loved PacMan and DigDug in high school. The only reason in all honesty I bought it was for the digdug game. While the graphics are the same as the classic arcade game, the dig dug character keeps getting locked up. The little lights on the controller will lock up and the character ends up getting killed because I wasn't able to move it. I have the same problem with the classic pacman game. I have no idea how the other games play, but if you want this for the classic arcade games, skip it. here I got this game for my 4-year old son. He has a Pacman mania going right now. Parents of 4-year olds know things like this don't last very long. But, he has been on such a Pacman kick lately. He loves this game and has mastered many of the mini games. As a family, we have played countless hours with him on it. Lots of fun for the family. Ages 4 to 104 will love it! |

Pacman, as an arcade game, was so successful that it retains many devoted followers even today. One could say that it has a cult status among gamers. It was produced for the US by the Midway company. pacman For players who are not interested in the standard arcade games and also who are tired of the house invading games, the PacMan arcade game is recreational. It was not that long before it became the best promoting arcade-type game ever, even surpassing Asteroids which held this distinction for a long time. It's likely to achieve top billing for a long time to come. You direct Pacman around a maze and collect dots along the way. In order to advance to the next stage you must enable your picture to gobble up every spot without getting eaten itself. Operated by the player, Pac-Man, makes his way around the maze in an attempt to avoid four ghosts which make an attempt to capture and devour him. If Pac-Man is touched by the ghost he dies. For all those who pleaced pacman in the acrade, you can now play this game online. There are four energy ups scattered in each corner of the maze. Pac-man has the ability for a short period of time to actually eat the ghosts after absorbing an energy-up. No sooner being eaten the ghost will return to the pen where it may be revived. As the game advances in stages, the regeneration time for the ghosts gets shorter. Even though you may guess that the ghosts are moving in a nonsensical pattern, you will see that they are predictable, but it does take time and patience to discover the pattern. This gives players that have great skill to figure out how to move in ways to complete each level without ever being apprehended. My girlfriend, who is not a big video game player, was intrigued by the game after we rented it. She now wants to purchase it. She enjoys the different mazes and the "Quest" area. She thinks PacMan is cute.As for me, I enjoy the challenge of the game. The 3-D style format is exactly what PacMan needs to stay fresh in the gaming world of the "Nineties" and beyond. best online games My son (age 6) and I have played this game and had a great deal of fun with it. Took us a while to get to the final level (we just got our PS1 at Christmas), but this is a very good, clean, game for young children (and their parents--my husband and I both got caught up in helping "beat the levels"). We have a lot of video games from a classic 80's Atari through Wii, we have family with the latest X-Box 360 devices and what were we all playing this past New Year's eve but this inexpensive Retro Arcade Pac Man plug and play. This plays just like the 80's Arcade games we spent hours dropping quarters into in malls back in the day. Galaga, Galaxian, Pole Position, Pac-Man and many more. You could spend 20 times the amount of money on a high end game system and games and not have the fun that you will have with this simple, fun and sturdy unit. Buy it for a child or buy it to bring to a party of full grown baby boomers or Gen-Xers and you will be a winner. pacman Toy stopped working with minimal use after two months. The screen was cracked and fuzzy and ability to navigate to different games was non existant. Battery change did not fix the problem kids games online I'll start with the cons: My top fire button spring sticks..if I could only switch it with the perfect action of the bottom button...and, it may be this opperator, but Pac-Man seems to get stuck in the corner at times in instead of continuing on ahead, which may be something electronic within the joystick...each unit may have their own quirks; but STILL worth the small amount of money for the hours of retro enjoyment!Now the pros: It is direct arcade action! These games are as nastalgic as can be, and play almost exactly as they did 30yrs ago. Graphics and sounds are true to the originals, and resetting takes no time. I recommend this time capsule of memories, for any generation to enjoy. |

I hoped this game would be similar to Mario Party or Wii party, but it wasn't. My kids didn't really get into it. I don't reccommend it. pac man online I bought this for a gift. The family loves it. great for all ages with help. I bought it for a 38 year old male and all of the kids love it. Ages from 3 to 13! The problem of the AI on the ghost was the second, as it did not work as it should have. Rather than coming after me, sometimes I notice them just bumping into walls for a few seconds. This glitch troubled me even though it was resolved pretty fast. Although I've never been overly fond of PacMan, it is a fun game for awhile, especially since you can obtain this version for free. As I played PacMan, it reignited fond memories of continually putting quarters in arcade games down by the beach. It's not too easy finding an arcade these days. This game retains many of the elements of the original. This is about as close to the arcade version of the Pac-Man experience you are going to get, unless you would like to part with your hard earned quarters. It is worth looking into, even though it's nothing spectacular. |

I read the reviews of others here at Amazon.com in regards to this game before deciding to buy it. They were very helpful to me but I must admit to having a love for Pac-Man well before reading any one review. What makes this game so outstanding is the animation which is on par with the Pac-Man cartoon that I got a kick out of years ago. Some of you reading this review and others will wonder "yeh, but is it worth the price tag?" I can tell you without a doubt it is. There are many games priced far and above their actual quality but is every bit worth its price and then some. Besides the graphics, the gameplay is fantastic, challenging (without being too hard) and all out FUN. Pac-Man swims, gobbles, butt bounces (a must see)and the Sonic-like rev run can't be beat. The ghosts are all there with some new baddies...but beware, even seemingly innocent fish can prove deadly too.The music? In a word, spectacular! It took me back to the fun of the Pac-Man cartoons and the music that plays when you run the credits is hot enough to do aerobic exercise to... I kid you not!I just started playing the game this morning but out of all the games I've purchased: Frogger, Asteroids, Dead or Alive, MK4 and Need for Speed... I can definitively say is the most fun I have had out of them all.
